Interview With Oleksandr Denisov
Hi, my name is Oleksandr Denisov, and I am going to tell you about our studies here at PMT in Hochschule Der Medien. I got the opportunity to study here, and I am very grateful for it. I am originally from the best city in Ukraine, which is famous for the overwhelming love of its citizens – Kharkiv. You may leave this charming city in eastern Ukraine, but it will remain unforgettable, always calling you to return.

I am now in the middle of my 7th semester and can confidently say that I have tried most of the courses on offer and will be happy to share my curiosities and thoughts about PMT.
When you dive into the world of mathematics and physics at the beginning of your studies, you quickly build a solid foundation of knowledge, presented in a structured and engaging way. Before you fully adapt to the theoretical aspects, you’re already introduced to practical applications. Students have the chance to explore every printing technique, from traditional offset printing to cutting-edge additive manufacturing.
Each semester, there are opportunities to join excursions to leading companies in your field of interest. One aspect I particularly appreciate is that this field isn’t overcrowded with young professionals, making companies more inclined to offer internships or bachelor thesis opportunities under favorable conditions. These excursions, arranged by the professors who are always ready to assist, significantly simplify the process of connecting with industry leaders.
Another thing is the openness of professors to your proposal or question. If you have a bright idea that you want to put into practice, they will be happy to help. And if it is substantial enough and can teach other students something, they might even structure a whole advanced lab or project around it to learn altogether.
