Where Creativity Takes Shape: Media Night 2025 by "Print Media and Packaging Technologies" Students
This year’s Media Night was unlike any other—a celebration of innovation, craftsmanship, and storytelling brought to life by the students of “Print Media and Packaging Technologies.”
From immersive product design to vibrant screen-printed artwork and intricate 3D creations, every corner of the night was alive with ideas transformed into reality.
A Night Inspired by The Jungle Book
The overarching theme of this year’s Media Night was The Jungle Book, a story that symbolizes adventure, curiosity, and creativity—values that define our students and the projects they presented. Each lab contributed unique, themed work that showcased the range of expertise within the “Print Media and Packaging Technologies” curriculum.
Product Development Course
In the Product Development course, students took on two remarkable projects:
Customized Perfume Packaging for Couples: This project explored the intimate connection between scent and emotion, resulting in personalized perfume packaging designed to celebrate couples’ unique stories. Every detail, from material choices to the elegant structural design, reflected the students’ ability to merge aesthetics with functionality.
The Jungle Book Translation: Another group of students took a literary approach, creating a translated English edition of The Jungle Book. This not only involved a thoughtful design of the book’s layout and cover but also tied the entire evening’s theme together.
Screen Printing Lab
The Screen Printing Lab impressed guests with handmade, screen-printed playing cards—each one a piece of art. With a Jungle Book theme woven into the designs, these cards showcased the precision and creativity achievable through the traditional yet versatile screen-printing process.
Color Management Lab
In the Color Management Lab, students mastered the technical side of visual storytelling by producing custom packaging boxes. Using the advanced capabilities of HP Indigo digital printing, they explored how to fine-tune and manage colors to achieve perfect consistency—a skill crucial in today’s packaging industry.
3D Printing Lab
The 3D Lab featured two standout projects:
3D Printed Clocks: Students combined functionality with creativity, designing one-of-a-kind clocks that reflect the modern potential of additive manufacturing.
3D Sculpted Faces: Perhaps the most talked-about display of the night, this project began with 3D scanning the faces of students. The scans were then used to create casts and molds, resulting in lifelike sculptures—a perfect blend of technology and artistry.
Media Night: A Showcase for Future Innovators
Media Night 2025 was more than an exhibition. It was a statement about the future of “Print Media and Packaging Technologies” students, who blend technical expertise with a designer’s eye for storytelling. From packaging and print to 3D manufacturing, the evening reflected the wide spectrum of skills’ students have mastered throughout their studies.
